Albacete Los Llanos Vialia Station

Albacete Vialia Station is the second station of this Adif brand designed for high speed rail travel. The Vialia concept consists of transforming railway stations into modern centres featuring activities complementary to actual transport functions in order to integrate the station into the city as a meeting point and hub for transport, leisure and culture. The commercial area houses 43 establishments providing food service, culture and leisure opportunities.

To boost energy efficiency, this high speed station boasts a photovoltaic plant. Located in the outside car park, this is composed of 800 photovoltaic panels occupying a surface area of 1,200 m² with capacity to generate 163,460 kWh per year. This technology will prevent the emission of 172 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year.

  • A modal transport centre which will provide services for an area with a population of almost 230,000.
  • Built to sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental parameters.
  • Accessibility: it will be equipped with lifts and an underpass connecting the platforms. There will be Atendo and Dialoga services available.
  • Covering an area of 21,000 m².
  • Four 410 metre long platforms covered by canopies.
  • Nine tracks: seven international-width tracks for high speed trains and three Iberian width tracks for medium distance journeys and freight trains.
  • 563 parking spaces.
